What is a messaging framework

A messaging framework is the approved set of messages a company reuses everywhere: the one-liner, the short and long descriptions, value themes with proof, and how each message changes by audience. It is built from positioning, so every team describes the product the same way without rewriting it for each page, deck or campaign.

Why teams need one

April Dunford’s messaging document template lists the problems it solves: messages recreated for every tactic, drift between materials, new hires who miss the positioning, and executives reviewing copy that should already be approved.
